The Sweet Show with Sweet Nothing (2014)

Lynn Nesseth and Sydney Acosta explore the nature of sweetness from artifice to all natural in their first collaboration 'The Sweet Show with Sweet Nothing'. Asking, between which worlds lies the realm of sweet and how is that realm fortified, the artists are find their answers in glass casements, pubescent fantasies, granny's fresh baked cookies, being tucked in at night before faerie stories, and thoughtful acts of loving kindness. How, as a culture, do we allow sweet to survive? What is the substantive quality of sweet or is the nature of sweet impermanent and dissolving? The show saturated the CSUS Witt Gallery in December 2014 in Sacramento, California.
